NEW YORK – March 4, 2016 – What will online listings look like a decade from now? Think videos.
Even today, Michael Thorne, a host on Re/Max Mobile Agent TV, claims that 73 percent mores homeowners will list with agents who offer videos – and agents will receive 403 percent more inquiries about a property with video compared to a property without video.
Agents need more than listing videos, however: They need to create lifestyle videos to promote themselves and their town. For a successful lifestyle video, agents would be wise to hire a video professional who can help them make a big first impression with a heads-above-the-crowd video.
For all videos, agents should write out, revise and practice their scripts, but keep them under two minutes long. Each video should showcase who they are and the community they represent. It should focus on what they love and what they're comfortable with; and their hair, clothes and other controllable things should be at their best.
Finally, it's important for agents to do more than just post a video on YouTube. They need to share or send it on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – and they should keep posting it while adjusting the audience each time to avoid annoying their friends.
